Abstract

The article presents data on the level of secretion of endogenous antimicrobial peptides and cytokines in type 2 diabetes mellitus.Aim.Toassess the secretion levels of antimicrobial peptides (defensin  and  endotoxin)and cytokines (interleukin-8,    tumor    necrosis    factor ? and transforming growth  factor ?1) in  blood  plasma in type 2 diabetes mellitus.
